Beginning Crochet

My friend Aidalys is a gifted crafter. After seeing some of the scarfs she had made, I told her I wanted to learn to crochet like her. Plus, I could always use another hobby! So, with her advice, I went to wal mart on Friday and bought a basic 4.5mm crochet needle and some $2.97 yarn. So, $5 total.

Friday afternoon, I sat in front of YouTube videos on the computer and made these lovely things...

Attempt 1: scrap piece

Attempt 2: asymmetrical washcloth

Attempt 3: early stages of a scarf??

Then Saturday, I had a package from Arizona in the mail... From Aidalys!

Will y'all just look at the scarf and headband Aidalys made for me?!?

That girl is seriously talented.

Meanwhile, I will continue to work on making straight lines and aspire to crochet something this gorgeous one day! :)

  1. I'm so glad you liked them! They were made with love. Don't worry and don't give up on your crochet. Everyone starts out that way and you will get better! Practice makes perfect!!
